Submissions open for the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival

We have great news for filmmakers around the world as the organizers of the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) announced today that they are open to receive productions for this year edition.

The Tokyo International Film Festival one of the most important film festival in Asia has announced today that their film submission period for the Competition Section is open. The submission period extends from April 14th until July 14th, 2017. Submissions can be made via their official website. The fee entry is FREE until May 31th, 2017 after that filmmakers have to pay a fee of 3.000 (JPY) or US$ 28.

Throughout these year the festival has been showing many outstanding films created by up-and-coming directors as well as premieres of works by prestigious filmmakers from around the world. In 2016 the festival received 1.502 films from 98 countries and regions. Sixteen excellent films were screened after pre-selection and The Bloom of Yesterday (Germany) by Chris Kraus won the Tokyo Grand Prix.

We would like to remember readers that the 30th TIFF will be held from October 25 until November 3,  2017.
