The Tokyo International Film Festival organizers announced that the Crosscut Asian Section will focus on Indonesia productions.
Created two edition ago by the festival and the Japan Foundation Asian Center, this section showcase Asian films with a focus on particular countries, directors, actors or themes. This year the section will focus on Indonesian productions.
The section will showcase numerous productions from young filmmakers who richly portray themes relevant to modern society, such as religion, ethnicity, gender and various forms of love. Also during the festival there will be opportunities for the public to meet the directors in different Q&A sessions and symposiums. We will keep you updated for the incoming program.
