
The Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival (Japan) is accepting fantastic films until May 17th, 2021. Here you can find more information about their call for entry.
About the festival:
Yubari Fanta is held in Yubari, Hokkaido Japan, and is organized and operated by Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival Executive Committee. Starting in 1990, this will be the 31st time. Yubari Fanta is aimed at fantastic films that are rich in imagination and entertainment such as science fiction, horror, fantastic adventure, action, and thriller.
The purpose of Yubari Fanta aims to contribute to improving the quality of entertainment films not only in Japan but also in many countries around the world by providing a place for communication between the citizens, filmmakers, and audience through discovering and fostering new talents that have not yet been seen, and promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between countries around the world through films
General Rules:
– The festival will screen in venue and online.
– The festival accepts movies from professionals and amateur filmmakers.
– Films should be completed after October 1st, 2019.
– The festival accepts any genre (narrative, animation or doc) but it should be a fantastic film rich in imagination.
– Films could be screened before the festival but they will prioritize unscreened films.
– International short films should be less than 40 minutes
– Submission Fee: 3,300 JPY ($ 32 USD)
– Submission Deadline: May 17th, 2021
– Notification Date: July 2021
