Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival – Call for Entry 2020

yifff_call2020The Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival is accepting fantastic films until April 24th, 2020. Here you can find more information about their call for entry.

About the festival:
Yubari Fanta is held in Yubari, Hokkaido Japan, and is organized and operated by Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival Executive Committee. Starting in 1990, this will be the 30th time. Yubari Fanta is aimed at fantastic films that are rich in imagination and entertainment such as science fiction, horror, fantastic adventure, action, and thriller.

The purpose of Yubari Fanta aims to contribute to improving the quality of entertainment films not only in Japan but also in many countries around the world by providing a place for communication between the citizens, filmmakers, and audience through discovering and fostering new talents that have not yet been seen, and promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between countries around the world through films.

General Rules:
– The festival welcomes professional and amateur filmmakers.
– The festival accepts any genre, drama, animation, docs but it should be a fantastic film rich in imagination.
– The festival accepts feature and short films (less than 40 minutes).
– Films must have been complete after January 1st, 2018.
– Premiere status is not required buy unscreened films are desirable.
– The festival gives Cash Awards.
– Submissions must be done via the festival’s website.
Submission Fee: ¥ 3,300 JPY
Deadline: April 24th, 2020
