We present the films selected for the Vision of Asia section for the 15th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival which will take place from August 2nd – 11th, 2019 in Metro Manila and some selected cinemas around the Philippines.

A Tiger in Winter by Lee Kwang-kuk – South Korea | 2017 – 107 minutes

One winter day, a tiger escapes from the zoo. Gyeong-yu, who has been living off of his girlfriend, is suddenly abandoned by her for reasons he can’t understand. Having nowhere to go, Gyeong-yu finds himself on the street with a suitcase. With the whereabouts of the tiger unknown, the people are gripped by a vague fear. Gyeong-yu, working for a designated driver service, drifts this way and that, and happens to come across his former girlfriend Yoo-jung. Yoo-jung has become a novelist, as Gyeong-yu once dreamed of doing. It seems they start over. However being in a tailspin, Yoo-jung is unable to write, and proposes Gyeong-yu a weird offer.

Kejal , 26 years old, from Kurdistan in the west of Iran – is a university student in Tehran. Her brother who is good smuggler is killed at the border. she begins smuggling goods on her back ,with all her might on Iran and Iraq border to look after her mother and smaller brother.
