
The Cartoons Underground (Singapore) is accepting animated short films until June 30th, 2021.
About the festival:
Cartoons Underground is Singapore’s largest underground animation festival featuring international and local award-winning animation. Marking our 10th edition in 2021, the festival will be an hybrid presentation of 2 competition sections: International and Singapore Student. Past editions of Cartoons Underground had screened animation works by both emerging and established animation artists including Bill Plympton, Hisko Hulsing, Dahee Jeong, Spela Cadez, Tal Kantor, Paloma Baeza, Mirai Mizue, Lei Lei, Chen Xi and An Xu.
General Rules:
– The festival accepts short films that applied animation techniques.
– Films should not exceed the 10-minute mark.
– Films should be completed in 2020 – 2021.
– Singapore students can send their films for the Singapore Student Animation section.
– Films should have English subtitles.
– Submissions must be done via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: June 30th, 2021
– Notification Date: October 1st, 2021
