We present a list of twenty two Asian films you cannot miss at the 23rd Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival which will take place from June 27th – July 7th, in Bucheon, South Korea.

Abyss: The Girl’s Eye by Chang Hyunsang – Korea | 2018 – 81 minutes
Section: Korean Fantastic Competition | World Premiere

Hyunji wants to live a normal life, but she has a special gift passed down from her family family – the power to send dreams to other people. When a series of cruel murders occur, she must face her fate. She sends a dream through time and dives into a world of mystery to save her younger self.

Bird Cage by Nakata Kei – Japan | 2019 – 117 minutes
World Fantastic Red | World Premiere

A man is admitted to a mental hospital, despite his protests that he is perfectly normal. As attempts to escape, what he sees a crazy word in front of him where the lines between normal and abnormal are blurred.

Coin Locker Girl by Han Junhui – Korea | 2015 – 109 minutes
Section: Gorgeous Charming Dangerous, Kim Hye-Soo

A baby is found abandoned inside a coin locker at Western Seoul train station. Raised by a beggar until 10, she is taken by a corrupt detective who sells her off to a crime figure known as Mother. Showing toughness, the girl soon becomes Mother’s personal debt collector.
