The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festivals appoints new programmers.

Looking forward to the 21st edition of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) have decided to add three new programmers to the festival. Kim Bongseok, Eunyoung Mo, and Moon Seok will joing the BIFAN Team, lets meet them!

Kim Bongseok worked at the cultural desk of The Hankyoreh (Daily newspaper of South Korea), as a journalist for the film magazines, CINEPHILE and CINE21, he also worked as an editor-in-chief for KT&G Sangsang-Madang’s monthly magazine BRuT and comic book webzine Acomics. He also worked as a writer for EBS movie programs “Cinema Paradiso” and AniTopica”, later he worked as a programmer for nine years for the Korean Film Archive Cinematheque KOFA, and where he would run projects that blended the classical with the modern, and popular appeal with artistry.

Moon Seok will program the BIFAN’s comprehensive film industry program (B.I.G). He worked at the cultural desk of Korea Joongang Daily and later as the editor-in-chief of CIN21 for almost 15 years. Most recently he worked as chief manager of Funding 21 and film acquisition for CINE LUX (a film distribution company).

The festival hopes that with this new additions and their broad expertise they will raise audience expectations for this year’s edition that will run from July 13th – 23rd, 2017 in the city of Bucheon (South Korea). The festival is open for film submission until the May 5th so please send your movies (More information HERE).
