We present the selected projects for the Asian Project Market 2016.

The Asian Project Market (APM) is the largest investment and co-production platform that offers selected projects the opportunity to meet international film decision makers. Ranging from big-scale commercial film projects to low-budget indies, each year APM brings together fresh feature film projects and global film investors, producers, and distributors. This year the official selection include 27 titles from 16 countries.

Among the selected projects we find Stone Land (Iraq, Japan, Germany) by Shawkat Amin Korki, Aylan Kurdi (Iran, Turkey) by Batin Ghobadi, Cu Li Never Cries (Vietnam) by Pham Ngoc Lan, Undefined by Seo Eunyoung (South Korea), The Cold-blooded Penguin by Jang Kunjae (South Korea), Love and Vengeance (Indonesia) by Edwin, Mountain Eyes (Serbia) by Pavle Vuckovic.

One thing to highlight this year among the selected projects is the high number of Asian female directors. Each year the festival receive more submissions by female directors and producers; consequently, many of their projects have been selected. This year some of the female directors are: Kim Gina (South Korea), Kim Hee-Jung (South Korea), Seo Eunyoung (South Korea), Yim SooRye (South Korea), Nan T. Achnas (Indonesia), Tan Chui Mui (Malaysia) and Pimpaka Towira (Thailand).
