The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (Korea) is accepting documentaries until May 15th, 2019 (For International and Asian Competition) and June 9th, 2019 (For Korean Competition). Here you can find more information about their call.

About the festival:
The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival, as one of leading international documentary film festivals in Asia, aims to provide opportunities for growing Korean and Asian documentary filmmakers to have a field that cineastes and audience together celebrate the festival through documentaries for promoting ‘peace’, ‘life’ and ‘communication’ with DMZ.

General Rules:
– Documentaries must be completed after January 1st, 2018-
– Entrants must have a choice 1 section per 1 film.
– DMZ Docs accepts MOV ProRes 4:2:2 HQ, DCP, Mpeg4, Blu-ray, HDCAM (HDV). The festival can’t afford to have 16mm or 35mm due to festival theater surroundings.
– All non-English language films must be subtitle in English.
– International and Asian films must submit via Withoutabox and Korean filmmakers via the website of the festival.
– The Festival gives Cash Awards.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadlines:
International and Asian Competition: May 15th, 2019.
Korean Competition-Youth Competition: June 9th, 2019.

El Festival Internacional de Cine Documental DMZ (Corea del Sur) acepta documentales hasta el 15 de Mayo de 2019 (Categoría Internacional). Aquí puedes encontrar más información sobre la convocatoria.

Sobre el Festival:
El Festival Internacional de Cine Documental DMZ es uno de los principales festivales de cine documental en Asia. Tiene como objetivo brindar oportunidades para que los documentalistas coreanos y asiáticos crezcan. El festival promueve la Paz, la Vida y la Comunicación en la Zona Desmilitariza de Corea (DMZ).

Reglas Generales:
– Los documentales deben haberse producidos después del 1ro de enero de 2018.
– Se acepta 1 documental por director.
– El festival acepta MOV ProRes 4:2:2 HQ, DCP, Mpeg4, Blu-ray, HDCAM (HDV). Documentales en 16 mm o 35 mm no son aceptados.
– Todas las producciones de habla NO inglesa deben presentar subtítulos en Inglés.
– Los documentales Internacionales deben aplicar por vía de la plataforma Withoutabox.
– El festival otorga premios en efectivo.
– Costo de la Convocatoria: GRATIS
– Fecha Límite: 15 de Mayo 2019 (Documentales internacionales y asiáticos, NO Coreanos)
