10th DMZ Korean International Documentary Film Festival – Call for Entry 2018

The DMZ Korean International Documentary Film Festival is accepting documentaries until May 15th, 2018. Here you can find more information about their Call for Entry.

The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (DMZ Docs) is an annual festival for documentary films presented by Gyeonggi Province since 2009. The 10th anniversary festival will be held during September 13-20, 2018 in Goyang and Paju city of the neighboring region with DMZ. The festival accompanied by events like seminars, conferences and pitch program for DMZ Docs Fund. Despite its short history, DMZ Docs is growing as one of the most important documentary festivals in Asia.

The DMZ Docs, as one of leading international documentary film festivals in Asia, aims to provide opportunities for growing Korean and Asian documentary filmmakers to have a field that cineastes and audience together celebrate the festival through documentaries for promoting ‘peace’, ‘life’ and ‘communication’ with DMZ.

The festival has two main categories: International Competition & Asian Competition.

General Rules:
– Long and Short Documentaries must have been completed after January 1st, 2017.
– No premiere status required in Korea.
– Films in languages other than English must be subtitled in English.
– Submissions can be done via Withoutabox
– Submission Fee: Free
– Deadline: May 15th, 2018
