The Jecheon International Music & Film Festival will open activities with the screening of “Inna de Yard – The Soul of Jamaica” by Peter Webber. The festival will run from August 8th – 13th, 2019 in Jecheon, Korea.

Launched in 2005, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF) strives to be both a celebration of film set in the beautiful landscapes of Jecheon City and exhilarating music shared and enjoyed by everyone of all generations and musical tastes.

Legendary voices of Reggae flow from the yard of the house full of old vinyl records, perched on the slopes above Kingston, Jamaica. The voices of Ken Boothe, Winston McAnuff, Kiddus I, and Cedric Myton, the famous lead of The Congos, to name but a few. They’ve sung with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Jimmy Cliff in the back rooms of the ghettos. For the project of Inna de Yard, they reunited to revisit their biggest hits and record a unique acoustic album. For this occasion, they’ll share the mic with new generation singers of reggae.
is a film by Peter Webber, renowned for (2007) and (2003), which drew attention for its music documentary form. The film could be labeled as the best music documentary since (1999), as the stylish music of the legendary Reggae musicians and their moving stories unfold alongside the beautiful landscape of Jamaica. About the director:
Born in 1968, Peter Webber made his first film (1992) in film school and worked as a film editor. Since then, he created documentary films of diverse themes, produced soap operas such as [Men Only] and [The Stretford Wives] and narrative films such as (2003) and (2012).
