I Am Greta by Nathan Grossman will open the 9th Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival (South Korea) which will take place online and in cinemas from July 1st – 7th, 2021.

About the festival:
The principal objective of Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival (GUKIFF) is to present the most outstanding films for children, youth, and families produced in all over the world. Established in 2013, GUKIFF is striving to encourage young generations who will lead the film industry and support them to get various opportunities. GUKIFF realized the importance of culture that all the family members can share. GUKIFF wants to introduce various genres of domestic and foreign films dealing with children, family, and dream themes.

The story of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg is told through compelling, never-before-seen footage in this intimate documentary from Swedish director Nathan Grossman. Starting with her one-person school strike for climate action outside the Swedish Parliament, Grossman follows Greta—a shy student with Asperger’s—in her rise to prominence and her galvanizing global impact as she sparks school strikes around the world. The film culminates with her extraordinary wind-powered voyage across the Atlantic Ocean to speak at the UN Climate Action Summit in New York City. (SGIKFF 2021)
