About the festival:
The Kaohsiung Film Festival is a film festival held annually in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Established in 2001, the festival screens both locally produced and international films, in all genres and lengths. The festival also has an international competition section where it hands out awards for outstanding short films

Section: Taiwan Competition

Section: Children’s Jury Award Competition

Section: People Power: Hong Kong Generation
The crisis caused by the “Extradition Bill” has continued since June 2019. On 28th July, 2019, there was a clash between police and protestors in west Hong Kong Island. 49 protestors were arrested. Protesters helped each other to prevent anyone being caught alone.

Section: Taiwan Competition
Ting-Wei spends his entire summer vacation helping his dad make deliveries on condition that his dad takes him to the beach before school starts. Will his dad, who never keeps his word, remember to fulfill his promise this time?

Section: Taiwan Competition
In 2010, Myanmar opened its borders and attracted foreign capital into the unclaimed land, with China being the most aggressive. Determined to stake their claim, Yung-heung and his comrades have set ablaze large swathes of forest alongside northern Myanmar.
