The organizers of the 11th Taiwan International Documentary Festival (TIDF) announced the films that will compete in this year’s edition.
This year there were 2,445 submissions from around the world, 45 titles were selected for the three categories: Asian Vision Competition, International Competition and Taiwanese Competition. Each category consist of 15 titles that tackle topics such as politics, history, environment, family, refugee crisis among other social issues.
This year the festival celebrate its 20th anniversary since it was launched in 1998 as a biennial. We remind readers that the TIDF will take place from May 4th – 13th in Taipei, Taiwan. For more information about this festival please visit their official website HERE.

Founded in 1998, the Taiwan International Documentary Festival, based under Taiwan Film Institute, has evolved into one of the major professional platforms for documentaries in Asia. Over the past 20 years, we have devoted ourselves to bringing independent points of view, creative spirits and the care of humanity to our audiences. TIDF takes place every two years, presenting a well-curated program of more than 130 films and surrounding events. Each edition of TIDF attracts an audience of more than 25,000 viewers.
