9 Short Films you shouldn’t miss at the 59th Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival

These are nine short films you shouldn’t miss at the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival which will take place from November 2 – 20, 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan.

A Dog Under Bridge by Tang Rehoo – China | 2022 – 13 minutes
Section: Golden Horse Award

A Dog Under Bridge shows how director Tang sees society from a dog’s point of view. It turns out that things which seem normal to humans could look ridiculous in the eyes of a dog. (TGHFF 2022)

A Night with Moosina by Tsai Shiu-cheng – Taiwan | 2022 – 26 minutes
Section: Golden Horse Award

On a full moon night, a ten-year-old girl from a farming family in a remote village is lured by Moosina into a cave in the mountains, where she uncovers the secret about why the mountain demon always plays dirty tricks on children. (TGHFF 2022)

One million people in Malaysia’s Sabah are stateless. Fifty thousand of them are children who have been denied their rights to public education and healthcare. This is a story of those who learn to speak up for themselves. (TGHFF 2022)

Set in a coastal city in China, [Frontier] describes the friendship between two kids – a local Han boy and a Uygur boy, who just moved to this city. Their friendship is greatly influenced by social prejudice and cultural differences. (TGHFF 2022)
