These are five films you shouldn’t miss at the 13th Korean Film Festival in Australia which is taking place until September 10, 2022 in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Australia.

**Broker** by Kore-eda Hirokazu – Korea | 2022 – 129 minutes

A baby box is a small space, where parents can leave behind their babies anonymously. Sanghyun (SONG Kang-ho) finds new parents for a baby left in a baby box and makes a special deal with them. He calls himself a broker of good will. Sanghyun works with Dongsoo (GANG Dong-won) in this endeavour. They get involved with Soyoung (LEE Ji Eun), who placed her baby in the baby box, but has now come back for her baby. Meanwhile, Detective Soojin (BAE Doona) and Detective Lee (LEE Joo Young) are watching, and they quietly track them down to capture the crucial evidence. (KOFFIA 2022)

**Decision to Leave** by Park Chan-wook – Korea | 2022 – 138 minutes

A man falls from a mountain peak to his death. The detective in charge, Hae-joon (PARK Hae-il), comes to meet the dead man’s wife Seo-rae (TANG Wei). Seo-rae does not show any signs of agitation at her husband’s death. With her behaviour so unlike that of a grieving relative, the police consider her a suspect. Hae-joon interrogates Seo-rae, and while observing her on stakeout, feels himself slowly developing an interest in her. Meanwhile the difficult-to-read Seo-rae, despite being suspected of a crime, acts boldly towards Hae-joon. A suspect who is hiding her true feelings. A detective who suspects and desires his suspect. **HOMMAGE** by Shin Su-won – Korea | 2021 – 108 minutes

Ji-wan (LEE Jung-eun) is a 49-year-old female film director. After her 3rd film was shunned by audiences, she has been struggling for her 4th film. Moreover, she is in difficulties because her husband stops support-ing her financially. Meanwhile, a request comes from the film archive asking her to restore an old film. After noticing that some scenes were cut off , Ji-wan decides to find the film footage of miss-ing scenes. On the journey back to the 60s, Ji-wan meets the old filmmakers who enable her to take a glance at the world and life through their eyes. Then she begins to ask herself questions. What is movie to her? And what is life? (KOFFIA 2022)

**Special Delivery** by Park Dae-min – Korea | 2022 – 108 minutes

Eun-ha (PARK So-dam), who is a normal junkyard employee, secretly works as a delivery clerk that deals with unusual delivery requests. One day, Eun-ha heads to Seoul to pick up a client who is involved in a gambling crime that wants to flee overseas. However, Eun-ha meets the client’s young son at the pick-up point, instead of the client himself. Kyung-pil (SONG Sae-byeok), a current police officer who is actually masterminding the whole gambling crime, chases after the missing child who has the security key to the bank account that holds 30 million dollars. After a long pursuit from Seoul to Busan, Eun-ha fights against the police to protect the child! (KOFFIA 2022)

**TOXIC** by Cho Yong-sun – Korea | 2022 – 107 minutes

From 1994 to 2011, over 9.98 million bottles of humidifier disinfectants were sold in Korea. Consumers were told by the media that using disinfectant in the humidifier would be good for the common cold, and the government certified its safety for everyday use, but it ended up killing their wives and children. Together, Tae-hoon (KIM Sang-kyong), an ER doctor who lost his wife all of a sudden and many victims of the product go up against the Goliath to reveal the truth! (KOFFIA 2022)
