15 Films you shouldn’t miss at the 11th Cambodia International Film Festival

These are fifteen films you shouldn’t miss at the 11th Cambodia International Film Festival which will take place from June 28 until July 3 (2022) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

**A House in Pieces** by Jean Claire Dy, Manuel Domes – Philippines | 2020 – 65 minutes
**Section**: Documentaries | World in Motion

A war between government and ISIS-affiliated jihadists forced hundreds of thousands to flee from Marawi, Philippines. After the battle, residents struggle to rebuild their homes and live in a deformed city. (CambodiaIFF 2022)

Broken Courage is the story of Soun Rottana, a teenage Khmer Rouge rebel, a soldier with the Cambodian army, a prisoner of war and a landmine amputee. Follow Soun as he shares his experiences and his self-healing journey. (CambodiaIFF 2022)

After a century of genocidal ideologies and destructive speciesism, animals have enslaved humans and taken over the world. The statues of the past are gone and new ones are erected to suppress the will of the people. History repeats itself first as tragedy, then as a farce. **Moving Upstream: Ganga** by Shridhar Sudhir – India | 2021 – 105 minutes

“Moving upstream” explores a walking travelers journey of a 3000 km walk along the River Ganga in India. Showcasing the evolving relationship between human and the natural world. It does this while also amplifying the voices and concerns of the riparian community. (CambodiaIFF 2022)

Two students cannot adhere to their school’s culture. Following the school’s tradition is not in their DNA. But rap is. Can they become the kings of rap or will they be stuck in the slums of Bangkok forever? (CambodiaIFF 2022)

A single 30 old years boy is still living with his parents, living with them like friends. His dad wants to help him find a girl. The father-son relationship seems to be a little broken when the son refuses having any girlfriend. His dad decides to do everything to help his son find a girl and become his seduction teacher.
