The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) is one of Asia’s most reputable platforms for filmmakers, film professionals and filmgoers from all over the world. The HKIFF is also one of the Big 3 in Asian together with the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Busan International Film Festival. As a competitive event, the HKIFF serves as a platform for international film exchange, to promote better understanding between global cultures, and to discover new talents from around the world.
General Rules:
– Productions must have been completed after January 1st, 2017.
– Except for Hong Kong productions, films must not have been shown in Hong Kong prior to the Festival screenings.
– English Subtitles are required for non-English language films.
– Submissions can be completed via Withoutabox or by Post.
– Submission Fee:
Early-Bird: From US$ 40 to 70 (see link below)
Late Entries: From US$ 50 to 80 (see link below)
– Deadline:
Early-Bird: November 12th, 2017
Late Entries: January 15th, 2018
