52nd International Film Festival of India GOA – Call for Entry 2021

The International Film Festival of India GOA (India) is now accepting films until August 31st, 2021.

About the festival:
Since 1952, India has hosted 49th International Film Festivals, both competitive and non-competitive. The festival became an annual event from 1975 onwards. The 50th edition of the festival which includes a competition for feature films by directors from All Continents will be held in Goa.

The 52nd IFFI will be a hybrid format considering the success of 51st edition of hybrid festival; the coming festival would screen films on its official digital platform along with the theatrical screenings during the festival in Goa, subject to the prevailing conditions.

General Rules (For International Competition):
– The festival accepts fiction films only.
– Films should have more than 70 minutes of length.
– Films must have been completed between September 1st (2020) and August 31st (2021).
– Films should have India Premiere. Films should not have been released/shown in India before this festival.
– Films should have English subtitles.
– The festival gives Cash Awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor and Special Jury Award.

General Rules (For National Competition | Indian Panorama):
– The festival accepts fiction films only.
– Films should have more than 70 minutes of length.
– The film should be in any Indian language. The Phrase ‘any Indian language’ would mean all official languages of the State/Union Territories of the Indian Union, all other Indian languages included in Schedule VIII of the Constitution of India and such other languages and dialects that may be permitted by the Government of India from time to time.
– Silent Films will also be eligible.
– The director should be an Indian national.
– The producer of the film should be an Indian national and the film should have been produced in India. However, co-productions with the foreign entity are also acceptable.
– Films must have been completed between August 1st (2020) and July 31st (2021).
– If a film (Censored or Un-censored) entered in last year Indian Panorama will be not be eligible for Indian Panorama 2021.
– Films made in any Indian language shot on 35 mm or in a wider gauge or digital/video format and as a feature film or fiction above 70 min duration, are eligible for the Feature Film Section.
– Films made in any Indian language shot on 35 mm or in a wider gauge or digital/video format and as a Documentary/News reel/non-fiction/short fiction are eligible for the Non- Feature Film Section.
– The question whether a film is a feature film or non-feature film will be decided on the basis of such categorization mentioned in the entry form and declaration submitted by the applicant.
– Films should have English subtitles.
Submission Fees:
* Feature films – Rs. 11,800
* Non-feature films – Rs. 3,540
