
The Festival Film Dokumenter (Indonesia) is accepting documentaries until August 5th, 2021.
About the festival:
Festival Film Dokumenter (FFD) is an annual event held by Forum Film Dokumenter, a non-profit organization based in Yogyakarta, focusing on documentary film research and archiving, as well as film appreciation for educational purposes.
General Rules:
– For the International Feature-Length Documentary the festival accepts documentaries over 40 minutes (including credit title), from any country, produced between 2019-2021. Films should have English subtitles.
– For the Indonesia Feature-Length Documentary the festival accepts documentaries over 40 minutes (including credit title), from Indonesia, produced between 2018-2021. Films with regional dialects must include subtitles in both Indonesian and English.
– For the Short Documentary the festival accepts documentaries under 40 minutes (including credit title), from Indonesia, produced between 2019-2021. Films with regional dialects must include subtitles in both Indonesian and English.
– For the Student Documentary the festival accepts documentaries from Indonesian students, junior to senior hight. Director and film crew must be students during the film production. Application must include scan/photo of student id, or official letter from school stating applicant’s student status. There is no limit in the duration of the documentary. Docs should be produced between 2019-2021. Provided with English subtitle. Films with regional dialects must include subtitles in both Indonesian and English.
– For the Pespektif Program (non-competition) the festival accepts docs that capture the current discourses and issues, in the attempt to bring a certain perspective that corresponds to the dialogues. The program is open to films from all over the world, produced between 2019-2021. There are no duration restrictions. Please provide English subtitle, including films in English language. Indonesian films with regional dialects must include subtitles in both Indonesian and English.
– For the Spektrum Program (non-competition) the festival accepts docs with artistic choices, the challenge to continuously rediscover various forms of documentary film. The program is open to films from all over the world, produced between 2019-2021. There are no duration restrictions. Please provide English subtitle, including films in English language. Indonesian films with regional dialects must include subtitles in both Indonesian and English.
– Submitted films must follow the format H.264 1080p, ProRes 1080p, or Bluray.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: August 5th, 2021, 23:59 (GMT +7)
