Cry Macho by Clint Eastwood will open the 34th Tokyo International Film Festival which will take place from October 30th until November 8th, 2021.

TIFF plans to hold physical screenings at theaters in the Hibiya-Yurakucho-Ginza area of Tokyo, to enable audiences to experience the joy of watching films on the big screen, and these two remarkable films will provide additional excitement to the 34th TIFF.

In his 50th year as a filmmaker, Clint Eastwood (Gran Torino and American Sniper) directs, stars and produces the neo-Western drama Cry Macho, which ventures into new territory. From a filmmaker who has portrayed a multitude of human stories about courage, hope, friendship and love, comes yet another emotional drama that will change your take on true strength. (TIFF2021)
