Dear Asian filmmakers, the FestCurtasBH – Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival is accepting short films until June 5, 2023.
About the festival:
FestCurtasBH is particularly keen on avant-garde and experimental film, as well as on politically engaged and inventive cinematic forms. Furthermore, the Festival embraces its research component and has been devoting part of its programming to reflect upon the history of cinema, revolving some of its lines of force as well as its aesthetical and political operations, such as the legitimation, obliteration and resurfacing of oeuvres, filmmakers and procedures.
Besides the exhibition of contemporary (eligible for a number of Capybara awards) and historical films, FestCurtasBH presents seminars, round tables, workshops, special events and, once each edition comes to its end, an itinerant programme screened in over 30 cities and towns of the Minas Gerais state.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short films with maximum running time of 45 minutes (except advertising, institutional films, series and music videos), finished in 35mm, 16mm film formats or any digital format.
