PÖFF Shorts – Call for Entry 2023

Dear Asian filmmakers, the PÖFF Shorts (Estonia) is accepting short films until August 11, 2023.

About the festival:
The festival’s mission is to showcase the best animated and live action short films of all genres from cutting edge talents and bold visionaries across the world.

PÖFF Shorts hosts three internationally recognised competition programmes: the international competitions for live action and animation with their respective student competitions called New Talents, as well as the PÖFF Shorts National Competition designed to provide a platform for Estonian filmmakers and animators.

Alongside the competitions the festival presents an array of astonishing, thought provoking, inspiring and challenging out of competition short film programmes.

Programmes:
– International Competition
– International Competition (Students)
– National Competition
– Rebels With a Cause
– Non-competitive

Eligibility:
– Short films should be under 45-minute.
– The festival accepts short films of all genres (fiction, documentary, experimental, and animation).
– Short films must have been completed after January 1, 2022.
– Short films should have English subtitles.
– Films submitted to the student film competitions must be directed by a film, animation or media student.
– Submission must be made via FilmFreeway.

We remind readers that the PÖFF Shorts will take place from November 7 – 15, 2023 in Tallinn, Estonia.
