
Dear Asian filmmakers, the New York Film Festival (USA) is accepting short films until May 5, 2023.
About the festival:
The New York Film Festival highlights the best in world cinema, featuring top films from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent. Since 1963, the New York Film Festival has brought new and important cinematic works from around the world to Lincoln Center.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts only short films under 40 minutes.
– Submitted films must have New York Premiere. Films that have shown theatrically in New York or virtually by a New York-based organization, have been broadcast on television prior to NYFF or are available on home entertainment formats (including Blu-Ray/DVD/TVOD/VOD) will be deemed ineligible.
– Films not in English must be subtitled in English unless dialogue is minimal and not necessary for the comprehension of the Film.
– The applicant holds the sole responsibility of copyright clearance of any copyrighted material in the film. Films including unauthorized copyrighted material are ineligible.
– Films that have been previously submitted to NYFF are ineligible.
– Submissions must be done via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fee: $ 45 USD
– Deadline: May 5, 2023
– Notification Date: August 11, 2023
