The Beijing International Film Festival (China) is accepting films until January 25, 2023.

About the festival:
The Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) is organized by the Film Bureau of the General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of People’s Republic of China, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, Huairou District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, Beijing TV Station and Beijing Enterprises Group Real-Estate CO Ltd. 

Sections
– Tiantan Award Competition: Its aim is to discover and present recent outstanding films from across the globe, and encourage diversity in cinema.
– Forward Future Competition: aims to discover fresh filmmakers, hunt for the future trends of global film industry, encourage the spirits of innovation in film making and display a culture diversity of film art.
– Beijing Film Panorama Section: will screen excellent films from all over the world. It will build a platform of observation, discussion, learning, and exchange for filmmakers and fans throughout the world, exhibiting a fascinating diverse culture.
– Science & Technology Section: Films that popularize scientific & technological knowledge, spread scientific thought and advocate the scientific spirit, such as aerospace, artificial intelligence (AI), space & oceans exploration, humanistic history, prehistoric exploration, environmental protection, animal & plant life protection and science fiction films.

Tiantan Award Competition eligibility:
– Feature films (over 70 minutes)
– Films must be completed after April 1, 2022

Forward Future Competition eligibility:
– Feature films (over 70 minutes)
– Films must be completed after April 1, 2022
– Director’s first or second feature-length film

Beijing Film Panorama section eligibility:
– Accepts narrative, documentary, and animations
– Feature films (over 60 minutes)
– Films must be completed after April 1, 2022

Science & Technology section eligibility:
– Films should be about popularize scientific & technological knowledge, spread scientific thought and advocate the scientific spirit, such as aerospace, artificial intelligence (AI), space & oceans exploration, humanistic history, prehistoric exploration, environmental protection, animal & plant life protection and science fiction films.

– The festival accetps short and feature Films.
– In general, the festival will prioritize World premieres or international premieres.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: January 25, 2022
