
The Sinepiyu Film Festival (Philippines) is accepting short films from Filipino senior high school and college students until April 2, 2023 for the Interschool Division, and until April 23, 2023 for the Tamaraws Division.
Sinepiyu XV: Liwayway
Liwayway is the sunrise after a long night. Just like many films that flourish through dark times, Sinepiyu XV aims to bring light to the darkest corners of the world. Through a diverse set of films of different lenses, consciousness on personal and societal issues becomes attainable and within reach for audiences and filmmakers alike.
Guidelines for the Interschool Division
– Open to Senior High School and College students in the Philippines.
– Short films must be between 5 and 20 minutes of length, including opening and closing credits.
– Shorts must have been produced after January 1, 2022.
– Open to Narrative, Experimental, and Documentaries.
– Films must be submitted in .mp4 or .mov format and at least 720 HD resolution.
– All entries may consist of originally composed music, whereas musical pieces used from other sources must be credited.
– Entries may be in any language provided with English subtitles.
– Filmmakers or Film productions may submit more than one entry.
– Submission Fee: PHP 150
– Deadline: April 2, 2023
Requirements:
– Completed registration form*
– Director’s copy of any proof of enrollment (Certificate of Registration, Certificate of Enrollment, transcript of records, school ID, etc.)
– Provide the following materials and information: Full Name of the production representative, Active email address, Active contact number, Facebook profile link, School, Year and program, Complete cast and production crew, Director’s bionote, Director’s photo , Completed Google Drive folder
— Folder 1: Copy of the final film and film trailer
— Folder 2: Official film poster (20×30 inches, 300 resolution dpi) and photo stills in .jpeg format
— Folder 3: Screenshot of completed registration form and registration fee (proof of payment)
— Folder 4: A .pdf copy of a signed memorandum of agreement from the production to screen the films through SINEPIYU XV streaming partners.

Guidelines for All Tamaraws Division
– Open to 4th year BA Communication students under the under the Digital Cinema track taking Film and Production Classes this academic year.
– Short films must be between 5 and 20 minutes of length, including opening and closing credits.
– Entries must strictly be within Narrative category ONLY.
– Films must be submitted in .mp4 or .mov format and at least 720 HD resolution.
– All entries may consist of originally composed music, whereas musical pieces used from other sources must be credited.
– Entries may be in any language provided with English subtitles.
– Filmmakers or Film productions may submit more than one entry.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: April 23, 2023
