
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Ottawa International Animation Festival (Canada) is accepting animated films until May 31, 2023.
About the festival:
The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is one of the world’s leading animation events providing screenings, exhibits, workshops and entertainment since 1976. OIAF is an annual five-day event bringing art and industry together in a vibrant hub, attracting artists, producers, students and animation fans from around the world.

– Feature Film Competition
– Narrative Short Film Competition
– Non-Narrative Short Film Competition
– Student Animation Competition
– Commissioned Films Competition
– Animation made for Young Audience (7-12) Competition
– Animation made for Teens (13-18) Competition
– Animated Series Competition
– VR Competition
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts feature animated films (over 45 minutes) and short animated films (below 30 minutes).
– Animated student films are eligible for submission.
– Commissioned films are accepted. These are works that are funded and produced for specific commercial or promotional purposes.
– Films must have been completed after May 31, 2022.
– If your film has dialogue that is not in English, it must have English subtitles, otherwise it may be disqualified.
– Submitted works must be original, and have some level of (non-algorythmic) human involvement in their creation.
– If you try to pass off the work of another artist’s hand as your own, you will be banned.
– Each entry may only be submitted to one category.
– Independent, non-commissioned films will be paid artist fees.
– Submissions must be made via Eventival.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: May 31, 2023 (11:59 pm Eastern Time)
– Notification Date: July 2023
