48th Toronto International Film Festival – Call for Entry 2023

Dear Asian filmmakers, the Toronto International Film Festival (Canada) is accepting films until May 12, 2023.

About the festival:
TIFF is a charitable cultural organization whose mission is to transform the way people see the world through film. Eligibility:
– For the International Feature category, the festival accepts narrative films with run times of 60 minutes of longer (including credits).
– For the International Documentary Features, the festival accepts documentaries with run times of 60 minutes of longer (including credits).
– For the International Short Film category, the festival accepts all type of genders with run times of 40 minutes or less (including credits).
– For the Primetime, the festival accepts serial content with a minimum of two chronological episodes, including the series or season premiere episode. In the case of anthologies, chronological episodes are not required. Series presented at the Festival will feature a combined run time of 60 minutes or longer.
– Upon submission, films must have a World, International or North American premiere status. The TIFF reserves the right to accept submissions with only a Canadian premiere status, but the Film’s premiere status will be taken into consideration when final programming decisions are made.
– Films must be completed on or after September 8, 2022.
– Upon submission, Films must have a World, International or North American premiere status.
– All non-English-language films will be required to provide content with English subtitles.
– All English-language films will be required to have closed captions in English, providing a transcription of spoken dialogue and a description of audio cues.
– Experimental and short films that contain no Dialogue are required to have closed captions provided. Silent films require a closed caption stating that there is no audio.
– All Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway.
– Films previously submitted to the TIFF will not be considered
– Films that has been release on DVD/Blu-ray/VOD, or released theatrical in North America, or has been aired on television and/or a public streaming platform in North America will not be eligible for consideration.
